We are here to support Dads as they navigate various parenting challenges and what is more challenging than brushing out tangles, styling long hair or dealing with headlice?
We have got together with the amazing Faye at BoomChikkaBoom to bring you Leeds Dads Hair Styling sessions, designed for Dads with long-haired children.
We have 3 separate classes available over 6 Saturday sessions:
Session 1 – Twisted ponytail & plaits (13 March + 24 April)
Session 2 – Out of this world space buns (27 March + 8 May)
Session 3 – French braids cheat (10 April + 22 May)
The sessions will last 30 minutes each and be live-streamed via Zoom by our friends at Slung Low. We also have 10 free hair styling packs available for the first 10 people to sign up to our first session!
If you prefer not to practice on your own child until you have mastered these techniques, we have 10 styling heads (with options for straight and afro hair) available to borrow for 1 week.
You will pay a £10 deposit which will be refunded to you upon its return. Styling heads are to be collected from and returned to Slung Low in Holbeck (between 10-6 Mon-Friday)
These sessions are free and accessible to all of our Dads, but donations to Leeds Dads would be gratefully received. You can donate to Leeds Dads via this link or by using our text service: Text DADS then a number to 70085.
(Example DADS 2 would be £2, DADS 5 would be £5 – max donation is £20)
